But before you can karate Professor Anonymous Von Terrorbad into moppable form, you must avoid the worst video game villain ever coded: grass. Superkicks is set in a dystopian Pokemon future where stepping into tall grass dramatically reduces your life expectancy. Grass runs down the clock, and Chuck can't actually die any other way -- he just runs out of time. Making the game an amazingly accurate representation of both his movies and his movie career. If the timer hits zero, the hostage dies and you lose, so most gameplay consists of carefully walking down the garden path, and being a kid too young to understand how that phrase means the makers are laughing at you. The "grass mud horse" is a fictitious animal that was created by Internet users to cleverly insult the Communist Party and bite the massive red hand feeding them propaganda and fear. To understand it, we need to break down the phrase cao ni ma. Only one problem: Pseudacteon finds fear . . . erotic. The flies do their fly-nasty, the females get pregnant, and the couple celebrates by planting the newest member of their family straight into a nearby ant's thorax. Once inside, the larva slowly eats its way from the thorax to the head, then, as a dessert course, Pseudacteon eats the ant's goddamn brain. The brainless ant then stumbles about, continuing to live for a time, but with no will of its own. Yes, this is a zombie-making parasite with a literal hunger for brains. You go ahead and tell Pseudacteon it's a cliche -- we'll be waiting behind the couch to see how that works out for you. Eventually, the larva grows weary of mocking the corpses of its victims and devours the membrane that keeps the ant's head attached to its body, decapitating the poor creature. Sword and PlanetThe sword-and-planet genre contains, as one might deduce, both swords and planets, combined in a very specific manner. It essentially involves an Earthman traveling to an alien planet by some loosely explained means, where he meets the humanlike but surprisingly primitive locals and goes on all sorts of adventures with them, which basically just means stabbing things with a sword. Willard-iStock-Getty Images zapatos timberland españa The popularity of the stories waned alongside the waning popularity of boarding schools themselves, as the English decided that, no, they didn't hate their children that much after all. Not to that degree, anyway. Furthermore, making everyone choose one side or the other while both of you are sitting in the room is unspeakably uncomfortable, no matter what being told you're right does for your ego. Look -- everyone argues. That's a fact of life. No one faults you for that, but no one wants to hear it, either. Botas Timberland para hombre

It wasn't just the early exposure to violence that made Quincy's life play out like the IKEA instruction manual for a terrifying sociopath. Quincy grew up in the shadow of his brilliant and humorless father, who just so happened to be the second president of the United States, which inspired in Quincy his drive and intense quest for perfection in the pursuit of living up to his father's high expectations. His dad was president, after all, so anything less than president simply wouldn't be good enough. But he did eventually become president, so he should feel accomplished, right? Wrong. At 65, even though he'd been private secretary to the American minister to Russia, secretary at the Treaty of Paris, the president, and a congressman, he confessed to his diary that his "whole life [had] been a succession of disappointments. I can scarcely recollect a single instance of success to anything that I ever undertook. " Those are the words of a self-hating crazy man, and like all self-hating crazy men, Quincy had a pretty bizarre way of punishing himself when he fell short of perfect: He beat the shit out of himself. visitthecapitol. gov timber land boots 3. You Can Thank an Inflamed Bowel for the Chest-Burster Scene in Alien20th Century FoxAlien screenwriter Dan O'Bannon had been working on two scripts: The first was about a space crew investigating a signal from a nearby planetoid, and the second was about gremlins being a pain in the ass on a World War II-era B-17 bomber. Since each of those sounds stupid enough to star Corey Feldman and a talking dog, he combined them into one, but now he needed a way to get the alien on the ship to bridge the ideas. This is where real life intervened. O'Bannon had spent decades struggling with Crohn's disease, a painful inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that made it feel like an alien was about to rip out of his stomach. So he wrote a scene where a baby alien ripped through someone's stomach. When you see John Hurt flopping and flailing as an alien tears out of him, that's really a reflection of a guy screaming while taking a painful dump. Gap filled. Iconic movie scene created. Worth it? Well, Crohn's killed O'Bannon in 2009, so probably not. On the bright side, we can be thankful O'Bannon wasn't suffering from some terrible penis ailment. Who knows how phallic that movie could have been?20th Century Fox timber land timber land boots "Did you see the way he was just shaking with rage? Do you ever think about anyone except yourself?"Maybe this character was once fun, back when he first met the main character. But now he's always caught up with things in the house, like mowing the lawn and chopping lumber and worrying if the joint compound he used on the drywall looks just right. Whenever the main character wants to go out and have fun with her friends, he is always pointing at that big pile of lumber he has chopped for her and complaining about how she is not using it. Even if his wife has a job or mission that is extremely important, like being a superhero or invading a country because she is president, the nagging husband will still bug her to spend time with him and help him fix the drywall, because nags have no sense of priorities. Donny Osmond's LamentTim Graham-Hulton Archive-Getty ImagesI suppose, as a thought exercise or a flight of fancy, most of us have at least imagined once or twice what it would be like to be a member of the opposite sex. How would you approach life, what would you do first? For women, "pee standing up" is often the go-to answer for this. But for a dude, I like to think the answer is "jam a poster of '70s heartthrob Donny Osmond inside myself. "On an episode of what must have been an awesome show called Bizarre ER that aired over in the U. K. on BBC3, which is easily thrice as cool as BBC1, a woman was whisked away to the ER complaining of abdominal pains that, as it turned out, were a result of her having rolled up a poster of Donny Osmond and thrust it deep into her clamarama. Most of us would probably conclude that this was at least a possible source of discomfort all on our own, even with no medical training, if a similar situation presented itself. Like you'd be home watching American Horror Story thinking "Man, my guts is a-hurtin' real bad. Maybe, before dialing 911, I should remove this rolled-up poster of '70s pop star Donny Osmond, see if I perk up at all. " Then you'd do that, maybe set it on a coaster on the table or whatever, take a Tylenol, have a tea, and discover that, yes, you do feel better when you don't have a poster jammed into your reproductive organ. That's why, at one point, Ratoff and Semple seriously considered making their James Bond a woman -- Jane Bond. They even went as far as choosing an actress to play her: famed starlet Susan Hayward, who, according to Ratoff, owed the producer a favor and would totally be up for the role. And yeah, with an attitude like that, it's obvious that Ratoff wanted to take Bond's ridiculousness to its inevitable conclusion, and turn the entire movie into a comedy based on the "hilarious" notion of "a woman spy?! monocle drops into champagne glass"Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer timber land They eventually planned to grow pot on Mars, but the show got canceled in 2012. Actually, it's not so unbelievable for Andrea Sanderlin of Scarsdale, New York, because she kind of lived it. Both Nancy and Andrea were single moms with three kids . They both lived in wealthy suburban neighborhoods, and they both worked with babies: Nancy ran a maternity store in Season 4, and Andrea designed baby furniture. Oh, and they both directed an enormous marijuana operation from a large warehouse. Like in the show, Sanderlin apparently got into pot growing to support her kids and then just kept raking in the bucks. She drove around in a Mercedes SUV and dwelt in a huge Spanish-style mansion , although she apparently dipped into her product more than once, as the house had more bathrooms than it did bedrooms. Sanderlin often pimped a giant-ass diamond ring bought for her by her own Latin lover. At the same time, she posted on weed growers' message boards as Andi68, which is just begging to get a visit from the feds. My main experience with the well-aged prior to this episode, then, was in the form of things I'd learned from video games, where the elderly are often an excellent source of healing spells. That none of you could cast even the mildest of buffs on me was, I admit, disappointing. I think that set the whole relationship off on the wrong foot. While I didn't learn any carny secrets like where they keep the bodies of the guests who get lost in the haunted house, I can tell you a few things you should keep in mind the next time you decide you're in the mood for a day of roller coasters, crappy food, and screaming children. Not counting my one-man fetish stage show, I was thrown up on three times over the summer, once by a little kid who I assume mistook me for a garbage can and twice by people on the Round Up, like a puke lawn sprinkler. "Sure, maybe we'll all just get better at aiming for the eyes. But whatever happens, it means a whole generation of screenwriters has some adapting to do. A lot of great cinema is bound to lose its impact once firing squads, explosions, and car crashes stop being listed as a cause of death and start getting filed under "Hobby. " timber land Sex and film go together like sex and dressing rooms or sex and portable toilets. And a lot of times it's pretty awesome, like in the cinematic tour de force that is Joanna Angel's en timber land men timber land boots tire career. But other times it becomes weird, like in Lars von Trier's Antichrist or Howard the Duck. But there's something even more insidious than a Willem Dafoe BJ on a scary tree, or Lea Thompson fucking a duck, and that's the subtle and generally-less-than-subtle symbolism that filmmakers will toss into movies that aren't even about sex. Sexual imagery is amazing at eliciting a physical and emotional response from a viewer, one that probably mixes arousal and revulsion. Why revulsion? Because penises and vaginas have very clear and defined roles in our lives, and when you start making them do other things , shit gets weird. Trust me, I'm an Internet comedy writer. I don't think any of these people have ever fought a Balrog outside of Street Fighter, and they probably can't make flashlights out of twigs and a hunk of quartz. But I do think they represent purity and goodness of purpose in much the way our friend Gandalf the White did in the world of Middle-earth. And it's both funny and tragic that I feel the number of people in the world who aspire to monumental goodness is so small that I could fit them in a list article. But at the same time, I'm so in awe of them that I had to put them in a list article, because for every article I write about talking dildos, people who get eaten by their pet tigers, and monsters of depravity I saw on Craigslist, these people are still waking up every day and thinking, "Welp, time to improve my entire species and the world in which we live," and as near as I can tell, it's not a joke, a plot, a hypocrisy, or a smoke screen. It's the real deal. Ben Gabbe-Getty Images Entertainment-Getty Images"You shall not pass! Or, no, that quote doesn't fit here. Eh, fuck it. Some BackgroundDuring my first year as a Cracked employee, when I was still a senior in college, I wrote an article about my favorite subject, and it ended up being pretty important for the rest of my career. I was on an editorial call with Editor-in-Chief Jack O'Brien and Senior Editor David Wong, which was, in 2008, the entirety of the creative staff of Cracked. Wong offhandedly mentioned that President's Day was coming up in a few weeks and it would be cool if someone knew enough about presidents to quickly turn an article around. I was still pretty intimidated to be on these phone calls and mostly kept quiet, but I spoke up this time to sheepishly mention that I'd been independently studying presidents for the last four years as a hobby, and I started rattling off some of my favorite bits of presidential trivia. I softly pitched the idea of doing an article about the most and least badass presidents. Jack said, "Cut the 'least' angle and write it up, as soon as possible. " I was happy to be able to write about my favorite subject, but was in no way confident that anyone would care about presidents as much as I did. Plus, the article was running on a Friday, which at the time was the day that traffic died on Cracked. The article that Wong and Jack dragged out of me was called "The 5 Most Badass Presidents of All-Time" and has been read by over 10 million people. A stupid tradition was born, and I started writing about presidents every single year. Then I wrote an article about fighting Andrew Jackson based on a silly little book idea I had. My good friend and smartest guy on the Internet Ryan Holiday bullied me into writing a proposal for that silly idea and then connected me with a phenomenal literary agent, Byrd Leavell, who in turn sold the book to Crown . Friend, co-worker, and all-around impressive human being Winston Rowntree provided the illustrations, because he is the best. The Starship Troopers Brain BugTheDailyBeastStarship Troopers is a mind-boggling mix of satire, boobs, and terrible acting. It curiously melds to form a very fun movie to watch, just so long as you've had a cocktail or two ahead of time to help ameliorate all the Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards you're going to have to endure. If the two of them got together to perform Waiting for Godot, Godot would show up halfway through and punch them both in the neck. Against the backdrop of an interstellar war against bugs who, for whatever reason, decided to team up despite being different species and having nothing that appears to be on par with human-level intelligence or civilization at all, we're eventually introduced to the brains of the whole bug operation, the cleverly named brain bug, which is the unit that coordinates bug efforts and seems to have some cunning and military planning skills, so good for him. Also, he's a giant turd with a vagina face that houses a secret splooge-covered stab-cock that can eat brains. That's pretty dramatic. Darrickphoto-iStock-Getty ImagesGo on, push it in real deep. Get a little slimy. The entire brain bug body is rendered as amorphous and vaguely gross. It looks kind of like CG intestine, if nothing else. Only the face, with many eyes surrounding its terrifying vagina maw, has any definition, and capturing this thing is the biggest coup for the human military in the entire film. Capturing this magnificent space twat is what turns the tide of war and gives humanity the advantage. And how timber land men Pictured: adult fun. Unless I'm missing something, that's a grown man in a silly costume carrying out a scripted series of "action-packed" events. I know people personally who laugh off wrestling as the most absurd thing ever but also try to sell me on the idea that Man of Steel was one of the best movies of 2013. You would have to be the Superman of stupid to not see the hypocrisy there. As for fans getting needlessly angry over the twists and turns of a fictional universe, head over to YouTube and search for "reaction to Ben Affleck as Batman. " You get over 100,000 results. If I know YouTube demographics like I think I do, I'd estimate that at least 99,967 of those are rage-filled rants that wouldn't be too out of place in one of professional wrestling's notoriously entertaining backstage interviews. The Dalai LamaOli Scarff-Getty Images News-Getty ImagesIn the simplest terms, for people who are as ignorant as I am of the world outside their front door, the Dalai Lama is the pope of Buddhists. He gets to be reincarnated too, so that's pretty badass. The current Dalai Lama is the 14th one, and all things being equal, he seems like a really decent guy. Not only is he the leader of Tibetan Buddhists and a guy who seems happy to share the faith with everyone, but he also uses his position to travel the world and speak on topics as diverse as women's rights, economics, sexuality, animal welfare, and all kinds of others that he approaches with a pretty liberal outlook. For instance, even as a monk, he's not opposed to homosexuality and believes everyone has a right to tolerance and understanding. That's some modern-day thinking right there for a guy who's been reincarnated for over 1,000 years. Noriko Brewster-iStock-Getty Images"Salutations, I'm as old as shit. Indubitably. "Born as a monk and identified as the Lama when he was still a child, the Dalai Lama does all his good works having never had a drink or sex, which, I have to be honest, blows my mind. I can't imagine having the willpower to do good works without at least the ability to rub one out every so often, but hey, there's a reason I'm not the spiritual leader of millions. So he does all this forward thinking with that kind of shit weighing him down each and every day, not to mention how China has been kind of oppressing Tibet and the Tibetan people, including the Dalai Lama, for his entire life, and would probably disappear him good if he went back there. This all stems from an uprising back in 1959 when the Lama was forced into exile. In 1989 the Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize for his 40-year effort to bring peace between Tibet and China through non timber land boots 3. Stephen ColbertFrank Micelotta-Getty Images Entertainment-Getty ImagesWho would dare compare Stephen Colbert to the likes of the Dalai Lama? This guy . Some may argue that any point I'm trying to make is wholly invalidated now, and to that I say you are close-minded and silly and have no idea how the world works. Take my hand and we will explore enlightenment together, you and I. To deny the influence and power of a man like Stephen Colbert in our world is to put your fingers in your ears and scream like one of those pop culture goats we keep seeing on YouTube. Television and film personalities are hugely influential in the world at large; one needs only see the stats on how many wingnuts stopped vaccinating their children as a result of Jenny McCarthy's brain farts to understand that. And we should be thankful that, amid the Shia LaBeoufs and Kanye Wests, we have a man like Stephen Colbert, who makes it his job on a daily basis to expose the utter stupidity of the world we live in through hilarious satire. Andreas Rentz-Getty Images Entertainment-Getty Images"Man, fuck me in my skuzzy ear. "Colbert has appeared more than once on TIME's list of most influential people in the world, and his show has even won a Peabody, among numerous other awards. Traditional news organizations like CNN and FOX have had to deal with the fact that more people under the age of 25 get their news from The Colbert Report and The Daily Show than the networks. Is Colbert's point to make you think "Oh God, I've been wrong all along, I must vote Independent?" No, not really. If you've ever argued politics or religion with anyone, you know you won't change anyone's mind, and Colbert isn't trying to change your mind either. But there's a vast difference between changing someone's mind and opening it, inspiring it. And if you watch him work, you'll be exposed to the insanities and hypocrisies of the world in which we live in ways no other news anchor would ever consider. Why is what Colbert does important? Because his influence is palpable. Colbert's super PAC to run for president of the United States of South Carolina raised over a million dollars, which he then donated to charity. What's more, he inspired students across the country to start their own super PACs. What the hell is a super PAC? It's a political action committee that can raise a buttload of cash without disclosing much info about who donated it and where it went -- these can be serious financial supports for a political candidate, and it's obvious to see how they could be corrupted. After Colbert introduced Super PAC Super Fun Kits, Politico reported that 2. 5 percent of registered super PACs had been started by the Colbert nation: real people wanting to effect real change, and a couple of goofy jokes. Andrew Burton-Getty Images News-Getty ImagesI couldn't find a good image for super PAC, so you get this. It's through satire and intellect that Colbert consistently exposes the American political system , demonstrating the farce and hypocrisy, using its own language against it and allowing us, as viewers, a glimpse behind the curtain, to see the Wizard as he conducts his business. It's very likely only through the belief that he's "just a comedian" that he's gotten as much out of his character as he has, as traditional media and politicians fail to see how profound his influence truly is, how inspiring and polarizing his words can be. Like . . . a couple grand, at least. Over the course of months, Roberts hatched his plan to steal part of the moon. Eventually, he met and fell in love with an intern, Tiffany Fowler, who agreed to help him commit the celestial heist. So what sort of sophisticated Ocean's 11-style caper did they embark upon to snatch the precious space rocks? Did they need to steal security codes? Hack the surveillance cameras? Somersault in between security lasers?Ha ha, no! They just loaded the 600-pound safe onto a dolly and walked right out the goddamn door, presumably whistling nonchalantly the whole time. Brand X Pictures-Stockbyte-Getty Now, it's worth mentioning that Roberts was a little bit nuts. He admitted in an interview that, after making off with his prize, he took Fowler to a hotel room and put the moon rocks under the blankets so that they were "basically having sex on the moon. " We sort of get the appeal, but that still sounds uncomfortable as hell. Anyway, Roberts was eventually caught trying to sell his stash, valued at a staggering 21 million, to some undercover FBI agents. Because of course they were FBI agents. If you're advertising moon rocks for sale right after a historic theft of moon rocks, it doesn't take a super sleuth to deduce that they may in fact be the same moon rocks. "A good number of scientists took one passing look at those chompers and assumed that they were ideal for grinding flesh and crushing bone, and nothing else. With no other evidence to go on, early paleontologists straight up panicked and let their imaginations run amok. This resulted in increasingly hyperbolic claims, like that mastodons had claws and the agility of a tiger and ruled the American continents with unparalleled ferocity. According to one anonymous author:"Forests were laid waste at a meal, the groans of expiring animals were everywhere heard; and whole villages, inhabited by men, were destroyed in a moment. The trouble is, dinosaur books kept teaching the butt-brain hypothesis as a fact for so long that it became firmly lodged all the way up the public's imagination. The myth still pops up from time to time, too . . . like in Pacific Rim, where one scientist casually quips that the giant kaiju need two brains to walk around, "like a dinosaur. " Not that anyone holds up Pacific Rim as a pillar of scientific authority -- the movie gets a pass for being generally awesome and never giving the slightest shit about realism in the first place. But how about Discovery Channel specials? In the series Clash of the Dinosaurs, guest paleontologist Matt Wedel discussed the evidence against the two-brain hypothesis in a filmed interview, but since double-brained dinosaurs make for more fascinating TV, the editors deliberately chopped his words until he endorsed the idea. Only after he issued a bitter complaint did Discovery try to set his words straight . . . long after the myth was spread to thousands of viewers. What a bunch of butt-brains. He's the subject of a particularly depressing story that involves reprimanding the hosts for not doing enough to make a contestant feel worse after Simon Cowell had just trashed his performance. This happened in the very first episode, mind you. Lythgoe was apparently also the man responsible for writing scripts so terrifyingly cheesy that Dunkleman eventually resorted to paying other comics like Doug Benson to write jokes that he would go off script to sneak into the broadcasts. Seriously, though, how bad could the jokes he was supposed to deliver really have been? Glad you asked, here's an example:Seacrest: "Our contestants are gonna be famous now, they'll have to learn how to deal with the paparazzi. I need this to be accurate. "Citing just a little less than zero scientific research to back up his claim, one "Dr. W. H. Ballou" wrote an article in the Ogden Standard-Examiner describing how stegosaurus plates could fold down at will, creating "gliding surfaces immeasurably like those of the planes of to-day. " That's right: All it took for a 5-ton behemoth to leap from a cliff and sail gracefully across the Jurassic skies were a series of miniscule back-plates and giant dinosaur balls. To push this madness even further, Ballou asserted that the stegosaurus was a direct ancestor of modern birds and its plates were actually where wings came from. As brain-clubbingly stupid as the idea was, it did find some purchase in pop culture. Ballou's Flying Stego-Circus appears to have inspired a scene in Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan at the Earth's Core, where a gliding stegosaurus swoops down from the cliffs to terrorize an explorer, who proceeds to leap off the mountainside with a pair of six-guns and blow the hell out of its tiny brain in a free-falling battle of the ages. The Journalist Who Openly Defied Ayatollah Khomeini Oriana-FallaciIranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini was not a hit with the ladies. Shortly after coming to power, he declared women too stupid for authority positions, lowered their legal marriage age to 13, and curtailed their human rights wherever he could. For example, in 1979 he demanded that Western female journalist Oriana Fallaci wear a chador during the interview, and although she put it on, she wasn't shy about sharing her opinion -- namely, that forcing her to wear it was barbaric. About halfway through the interview, Khomeini got fed up with her insolence and snapped: "If you do not like Islamic dress, you are not obliged to wear it. Because Islamic dress is for good and proper young women. "The Badass Moment:Fallaci saw an opening: "That's very kind of you, Imam," she shot back. "And since you said so, I'm going to take off this stupid, medieval rag. " Then she ripped off the chador right in front of him. Khomeini was furious. He left the interview and didn't return for 48 hours.
